Dear Dramatic Soul began with a love for creating, rooted in art.

As a fashion design student, I found myself drawn towards creating pieces that felt different—individual, imaginative, and artistic. I loved turning ideas from my imagination into something tangible. By the time I graduated, I was also increasingly drawn towards slow fashion, thoughtful craftsmanship, and the idea of creating alongside skilled artisans while supporting the local community.
I also realised that I wanted to create something of my own—something I genuinely enjoyed doing. I still remember visiting exhibitions and seeing people bring their creations to life and share them with others. Something about those little worlds they created stayed with me. It made me listen to what my heart was already telling me.
I wanted to create. And so, Dear Dramatic Soul began.
What started as a desire to create thoughtfully made pieces with an artistic point of view soon became a journey of discovery. But the journey was not always straightforward. There were delays, difficult decisions, confusion, moments of motivation, and moments when everything felt like a downfall. But through these ups and downs, the brand became more than something I was simply trying to build—it became a journey that was shaping me too. 

Along the way, I discovered a side of myself that wanted to feel alive, experience life freely, and express itself without fear of judgment. I began to embrace the many moods, emotions, and contradictions within me—the bold and the vulnerable, the playful and the thoughtful, the confident and the uncertain. I found my own dramatic soul, a part of me that was never just one thing, but a mixture of many feelings, experiences, and evolving versions of myself.

I realised that creating is not simply something I do—it is something that genuinely makes me feel alive. It allows me to channel those deep, raw, and beautiful emotions into the world through my creations.

For a long time, I kept asking myself why designing felt so deeply fulfilling to me. Now, I feel I am beginning to understand the answer. This passion wasn't there in its entirety from day one; it grew gradually, with every experience, every creation, and every step of this journey. And even today, that spark continues to grow stronger.

And I want the person wearing our creations to experience a little of that feeling too—to feel connected, confident, and perhaps discover another side of themselves.
What started as a desire to create something of my own continues to evolve with every experience, every creation, and every person we connect with.

And that, in many ways, is the story of Dear Dramatic Soul so far.
